The Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos (Missouri City, TX) football routed the visiting Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX), 49-7 in Thursday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Buffalos clash with the Galena Park Yellowjackets (Galena Park, TX) in a 5A-2 Region III District 11 bout, on Thursday, September 9. Fort Bend Marshall will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 34-14 non-league win over Caney Creek (Conroe, TX).

The Knights (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Clear Springs (League City, TX). The Chargers enter the non-league bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Clear Springs was crushed by Tompkins (Katy, TX), 53-43, in a non-league bout.
