The Leander Lions football team (Leander, TX), was tipped 23-21 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Vista Ridge Rangers (Cedar Park, TX)

The Rangers (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Abilene (Abilene, TX). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Abilene was tipped by Cooper (Abilene, TX), 31-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cedar Creek for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 10. Leander will meet a Eagles team coming off a 39-0 non-league loss to Akins (Austin, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
