In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Norfolk Catholic Knights volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Pierce Bluejays.

The Knights (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Platteview (Springfield, NE). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Platteview nudged Ralston (Ralston, NE), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Bluejays encounter the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers (Wahoo, NE) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 4. Pierce will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Cavaliers come into the battle with a 2-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Ashland-Greenwood (Ashland, NE).
