In Friday's non-league game, the Rocky Mountain Lobos (Fort Collins, CO) football team tipped the host Cherokee Trail Cougars (Aurora, CO), by a final score of 17-14.

The Lobos (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Legacy (Broomfield, CO). The Lightning come into the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Legacy was nipped by Lake Nona (Orlando, FL), 29-19, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Columbine Rebels (Littleton, CO) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 8. Cherokee Trail will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Rebels go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 35-7 non-league win over Dakota Ridge (Littleton, CO).
