The The Woodlands Highlanders topped the visiting Lamar Texans football team by a final score of 37-23 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, The Woodlands improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Highlanders host Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX) to confront the War Eagles in a 6A Region II District 13 outing on Thursday, September 8. The War Eagles go into the outing with a record of 1-1. Oak Ridge lost 31-28 in their recent non-league outing against Stratford (Houston, TX)

With the loss, Lamar moves to 1-1 on the season. The Texans host Clear Falls (League City, TX) to confront the Knights in a non-league outing on Friday, September 9. The Knights go into the outing with a record of 1-1. Clear Falls lost 56-28 in their recent non-league outing against Summer Creek (Houston, TX)
