The Minneapolis Lions football squad scored 18 points and restricted the visiting Republic County Buffaloes to 6 in the Lions non-league victory on Friday.

The Lions now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sacred Heart for a North Central AA battle on Friday, September 9. Minneapolis will play a Knights squad coming off a 20-19 non-league win over Trinity Academy (Wichita, KS). The Knights record now stands at 1-0.
