North Carolina High School Football - Watauga gets by Mitchell
September 2, 2022: Bakersville, NC 28705 The Watauga Pioneers football squad scored 28 points and restricted the host Mitchell Mountaineers to 21 in the Pioneers non-league victory on Friday.
The Pioneers now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burns for a non-league battle on Friday, September 9. Watauga will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 27-0 non-league loss to Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-1.
Next up, the Mountaineers meet the Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 9. Mitchell will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 52-6 non-league win over North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC).
