Pennsylvania High School Football - North Pocono nips Western Wayne

September 2, 2022: Covington Township, PA 18444

In Friday's non-league match, the host North Pocono Trojans football squad scored a close 28-27 victory over the Western Wayne Wildcats.

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 9. North Pocono will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 2-0 record after their 45-7 non-league win over Wallenpaupack Area (Hawley, PA).

The Wildcats (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Old Forge (Old Forge, PA). The Blue Devils enter the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Old Forge held off Greater Nanticoke Area (Nanticoke, PA), 42-7, in a non-league match.
