Illinois High School Soccer - Metro-East Lutheran can't get by Murphysboro
September 2, 2022: Edwardsville, IL 62025 In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Murphysboro Red Devils soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the Metro-East Lutheran Knights.
The Red Devils (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden (Anna, IL). The Wildcats go into the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden nipped Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL), 3-1, in a league battle.
The Knights (0-6) will now prepare for their battle against Roxana (Roxana, IL). The Shells go into the non-league battle with a 3-2 record.
