The Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) football defeated the visiting Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ), 30-22 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Highlanders face the Madison Warhawks (San Diego, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 8. Helix will attempt to advance on its 3-0 season record. The Warhawks enter the bout with a 2-1 record after their 22-20 non-league loss to Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, CA).

The Mountain Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ). The Jaguars enter the non-league bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Desert Ridge lost by Hamilton (Chandler, AZ), 42-11, in a non-league bout.
