The Taft Raiders walloped the visiting Veterans Memorial Patriots football team by a count of 49-17 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, Taft upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Raiders travel to Brennan (San Antonio, TX) to encounter the Bears in a 6A Region IV District 29 outing on Thursday, September 14. The Bears go into the outing with a record of 1-1.
