September 2, 2023: Mercer, PA 16137 The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA) and the visiting Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA), saw Mercer's soccer squad triumph over Franklin by a margin of 7-0.
The Mustangs now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Slippery Rock for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 5. Mercer will meet a Rockets squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Karns City (Karns City, PA). The Rockets record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Franklin drops to 0-3 on the season. The Knights host Bradford (Bradford, PA) to meet the Owls in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 6. The Owls come into the test with a record of 1-0. Bradford won 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Port Allegany (Port Allegany, PA)
