September 2, 2023: Danville, KY 40422 Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Boyle County Rebels (Danville, KY), 2-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Lakers battle the Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 2. Russell County will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record. The Rockets go into the contest with a 1-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY).
With the loss, Boyle County moves to 13-8 on the year. The Rebels travel to Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY) to battle the Rockets in a non-league contest on Saturday, September 2.
