The Helias Crusaders topped the visiting Fatima Comets volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Tuesday's non-league game.

Next up, the Crusaders face the Rolla Bulldogs (Rolla, MO) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, September 3. Helias will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record.

The Comets (0-1) will now prepare for their game against St. Francis Borgia (Washington, MO). The Knights go into the non-league game with a 1-0 record.

Coaches Summary

Match Summary

In their first match of the 2025 Volleyball season the Helias Catholic Lady Crusaders would face the Fatima Lady Comets at Home. The first set would see Helias jump out to a 10 - 2 lead. Helias would go up again 19-7 while Fatima would fight back to make it 11-19 and make another run to 17-24. Helias would close it out for a 25-17 win. In the second set it would start out close 5-4 Lady Sader's in front, before they would take off to 13-6 lead. Helias again took off to make it 19-9 before finishing out the set 25-10 for the Match win. Helias served tough by delivering 10 Aces, while Fatima would have 3 Aces against the Lady Sader's. Accurate Setting (20 Assists) and Strong Attacks (23 Kills) by Helias helped make the runs to stretch the lead in each set. Great hustle on defense with relentless pursuit to start each rally (36 Digs) with only (2 Passing error) showed excellent ball control by Helias. Job well done by the Lady Crusaders to secure the win in the first match of the season.
