Ohio High School Soccer - Newark nudges Sheridan
September 2, 2025: Newark, OH 43055 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH) and the visiting Sheridan Generals (Thornville, OH), saw Newark's soccer squad hold off Sheridan by a score of 1-0.
The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Whetstone (Columbus, OH). The Braves enter the non-league battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Whetstone tipped Briggs (Columbus, OH), 7-0, in a non-league battle.
In their next game, the Generals clash with the Tri-Valley Scotties (Dresden, OH) in a Muskingum Valley test, on Thursday, September 4. Sheridan will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Scotties come into the test with a 2-4 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Tuscarawas Valley (Zoarville, OH).
