September 2, 2025: King, NC 27021 Fans at Tuesday's league test between the Shining Light Academy Knights (Greensboro, NC) and the host Calvary Christian Cougar (King, NC), witnessed Shining Light Academy's soccer team knock off Calvary Christian by a final score of 2-0.
With the triumph, Shining Light Academy moves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Community Baptist (Reidsville, NC) to meet the Conquerors in a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. The Conquerors come into the test with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Cougar confront the Woodland Baptist Christian Eagles (Winston-Salem, NC) in a NCCSA A District 3 - East Region outing, on Friday, September 5. Calvary Christian will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 4-1 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Gospel Light Christian (Walkertown, NC).
