Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Valley View knocks off Scranton
September 2, 2025: Scranton, PA 18508 Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA) and the host Scranton Knights (Scranton, PA), saw Valley View's soccer squad knock off Scranton by a score of 3-0.
The Cougars (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Wallenpaupack Area (Hawley, PA). The Buckhorns enter the Lackawanna - Division I test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Wallenpaupack Area by Abington Heights (Clarks Summit, PA), 5-0, in a league test.
The Knights now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Scranton Prep for a Lackawanna - Division I test on Thursday, September 4. Scranton will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Delaware Valley (Milford, PA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-1.
