In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Wesson Cobras volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Franklin County Bulldogs.

The Cobras (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilkinson County (Woodville, MS). The Wildcats enter the Class 2A Region 7 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Wilkinson County was tipped by Jefferson County (Fayette, MS), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS) in a Class 3A Region 7 test, on Tuesday, September 9. Franklin County will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record.
