In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Somerset Christian Cougars volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Metcalfe County Hornets.

The Cougars (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Wayne County (Monticello, KY). The Cardinals come into the District 48 challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Wayne County gained a win over McCreary Central (Stearns, KY), 3-1, in a league test.

The Hornets now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Larue County for a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. Metcalfe County will face a Hawks squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Green County (Greensburg, KY). The Hawks record now stands at 4-7.
