The Sweeny Bulldogs volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Tidehaven Tigers to 0 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 20-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to El Campo for a 4A Region IV District 29 match on Friday, September 5. Sweeny will confront a Ricebirds squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Freeman (Katy, TX). The Ricebirds record now stands at 14-9.

The Tigers (8-10) will now prepare for their match against Danbury (Danbury, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league match with a 9-11 record. In their last bout, Danbury defeated Brazos (Wallis, TX), 2-1, in a non-league bout.
