In Saturday's non-league match, the host Hitchcock County Falcons football squad scored a big 44-0 victory over the Sandhills/Thedford Knights.

In their next game, the Falcons clash with the South Loup (Arnold, NE) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 9. Hitchcock County will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 64-8 non-league win over Maywood/Hayes Center (Maywood, NE).

The Knights (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Twin Loup (Sargent, NE). The Wolves enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Twin Loup routed Mullen (Mullen, NE), 34-14, in a non-league match.
