With the win, Avon Lake upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Shoremen host Bay (Bay Village, OH) to face the Rockets in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 3. The Rockets go into the outing with a record of 0-0.
The Cougars now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Gilmour Academy for a non-league outing on Wednesday, September 7. Lake Catholic will face a Lancers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin (Chardon, OH). The Lancers record now stands at 1-1.
