September 3, 2024: Raleigh, NC 27614 Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), 6-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Wakefield moves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Broughton (Raleigh, NC) to clash with the Capitals in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 4. The Capitals come into the test with a record of 4-1. Broughton won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC)
The Spartans now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host North Johnston for a non-league test on Monday, September 9. Smithfield-Selma will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.
