Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Benton nudges Greater Nanticoke Area
September 3, 2024: Nanticoke, PA 18634 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Benton Tigers (Benton, PA) and the host Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans (Nanticoke, PA), saw Benton's soccer squad hold off Greater Nanticoke Area by a count of 2-1.
The Tigers (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against South Williamsport (South Williamsport, PA). The Mountaineers enter the Mid-Penn D4 battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, South Williamsport was edged by Wellsboro (Wellsboro, PA), 5-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Trojans battle the Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack (Wilkes-Barre, PA) in a Wyoming Valley 1 battle, on Friday, September 6. Greater Nanticoke Area will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Wolfpack enter the battle with a 1-2 record after their 0-0 league Dallas (Dallas, PA).
