Georgia High School Softball - Appling County bounces Wayne County
September 3, 2024: Baxley, GA 31513 The Appling County Pirates softball team scored 9 runs and restricted the visiting Wayne County Yellow Jackets to 1 in the Pirates non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Pirates (10-1) will now prepare for their match against Crisp County (Cordele, GA). The Cougars go into the 2A Region 3 match with a 4-5 record. In their last match, Crisp County gained a win over Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA), 4-2, in a league match.
In their next game, the Yellow Jackets battle the Perry Panthers (Perry, GA) in a 4A Region 1 match, on Thursday, September 5. Wayne County will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record. The Panthers go into the match with a 9-5 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Schley County (Ellaville, GA).
