With the win, Walnut improves its record to 13-2 on the season. The Wildcats host Hatley (Amory, MS) to encounter the Tigers in a Class 2A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 8-6.
The Urchins now own a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Myrtle for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. East Union will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Falkner (Falkner, MS). The Hawks record now stands at 4-11.
