In Wednesday's league test, the host Carmel Padres flag football team scored a tight 14-12 win over the King City Mustangs.

In their next game, the Padres face the Palma Chieftains (Salinas, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, September 10. Carmel will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Chieftains go into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 26-21 league win over Watsonville (Watsonville, CA).

The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Branham (San Jose, CA). The Bruins go into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Branham was edged by Alameda (Alameda, CA), 12-6, in a non-league challenge.
