North Carolina High School Soccer - Mount Pleasant held off by East Rowan
September 3, 2025: Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) soccer team edged the host Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC), by a count of 3-2.
Next, the Mustangs face the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) in a South Piedmont 4A/5A contest, on Tuesday, September 9. East Rowan will attempt to upgrade on its 5-0 season record. The Trojans enter the contest with a 2-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to South Iredell (Statesville, NC).
The Tigers (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Colts go into the Rocky River 4A/5A challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, West Stanly was nudged by Montgomery Central (Troy, NC), 5-0, in a non-league challenge.
