September 3, 2025: Carnesville, GA 30521 The Oconee County Warriors softball squad (Watkinsville, GA), was routed 13-5 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the host Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA)
With the triumph, Franklin County improves its record to 5-4 on the year. The Lions travel to Hebron Christian (Dacula, GA) to face the Lions in a 2A Region 8 contest on Tuesday, September 9. The Lions enter the contest with a record of 11-1. Hebron Christian lost 9-8 in their recent non-league contest against Loganville (Loganville, GA)
The Warriors now hold a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Cherokee Bluff for a 3A Region 8 contest on Thursday, September 4. Oconee County will face a Bears squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Monroe Area (Monroe, GA). The Bears record now stands at 5-1.
