North Carolina High School Volleyball - Queen's Grant bounced by Central Academy of Technology & Arts
September 3, 2025: Matthews, NC 28105 Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars (Monroe, NC) boosters left the game pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Tigers come into the Rocky River 4A/5A challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Mount Pleasant beat Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Stallions meet the Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC) in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A challenge, on Thursday, September 4. Queen's Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Raptors come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 3-0 league win over NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC).
