September 3, 2025: Charlotte, NC 28262 Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Jackson Day improves its record to 8-2 on the season. The Mariners host Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC) to face the Gryphons in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A test on Thursday, September 4. The Gryphons go into the test with a record of 6-3. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC)
Next, the Cougars meet the North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) in a Meck Power Six 7A/8A challenge, on Thursday, September 4. Chambers will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 3-2 league win over Butler (Matthews, NC).
