North Carolina High School Volleyball - Freedom Wilkes Central

The Wilkes Central Eagles topped the host Freedom Patriots volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Wednesday's non-league game.

Next up, the Eagles confront the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A outing, on Thursday, September 4. Wilkes Central will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record. The Huskies come into the outing with a 6-1 record after their 3-0 league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC).

With the loss, Freedom drops to 2-7 on the campaign. The Patriots host Watauga (Boone, NC) to play the Pioneers in a Northwestern 6A/7A game on Tuesday, September 9. The Pioneers enter the game with a record of 9-1. Watauga won 3-1 in their recent non-league game against Hickory Christian Academy (Hickory, NC)
