September 3, 2025: Laurinburg, NC 28352 Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) and the visiting Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC), observed Scotland's volleyball team top Seventy-First by a score of 3-0.
With the win, Scotland improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Fighting Scots host Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC) to meet the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 4. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Richmond Senior lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Uwharrie Charter Academy (Asheboro, NC)
Next, the Falcons meet the Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC) in a Eastern Sandhills 5A/6A challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Seventy-First will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Red Springs (Red Springs, NC).
