In Saturday's league game, the Belleville Buccaneers (Belleville, NJ) football team smashed the host Barringer Blue Bears (Newark, NJ), by a score of 44-6.

The Buccaneers (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Nutley (Nutley, NJ). The Maroon Raiders come into the North Jersey Super - American Red game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Nutley overwhelmed Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ), 18-13, in a non-league game.
