The Thornton Trojans football team (Thornton, CO), was beaten 42-14 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Dakota Ridge Eagles (Littleton, CO)

The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Thomas Jefferson (Denver, CO). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Thomas Jefferson achieved victory over Sierra (Colorado Springs, CO), 41-8, in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Littleton for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 10. Thornton will meet a Lions team coming off a 48-0 non-league win over Lincoln (Denver, CO). The Lions record now stands at 1-0.
