Virginia High School Football - Randolph-Henry thwarted by James River
September 4, 2024: Buchanan, VA 24066 James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA), 23-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, James River improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Knights host Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA) to play the Fighting Blues in a non-league battle on Wednesday, September 11. The Fighting Blues go into the battle with a record of 2-0. Parry McCluer won 21-12 in their recent non-league battle against Narrows (Narrows, VA)
The Statesmen now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Prince Edward County for a non-league battle on Wednesday, September 18.
