The McIntosh Chiefs triumphed over the visiting Starr's Mill Panthers softball squad by a count of 9-3 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Chiefs play the Banneker Trojans (College Park, GA) in a 5A Region 3 challenge, on Thursday, September 5. McIntosh will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 21-6 non-league loss to Riverdale (Riverdale, GA).

The Panthers (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Northside (Columbus, GA). The Patriots enter the 4A Region 3 challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, Northside edged Griffin (Griffin, GA), 9-1, in a league challenge.
