The Sterling Rangers were victorious over the visiting Galena Park Yellowjackets football team by a score of 35-14 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Rangers face the Lee Ganders (Baytown, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Sterling will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Ganders come into the outing with a 1-1 record after their 79-30 non-league loss to Goose Creek Memorial (Baytown, TX).

With the defeat, Galena Park drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Madison (Houston, TX) to clash with the Marlins in a 5A-1 Region III District 10 outing on Saturday, September 13. The Marlins come into the outing with a record of 1-1.
