The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS) and the host Potts Camp Cardinals (Potts Camp, MS), witnessed Myrtle's football squad topple Potts Camp by a tally of 37-8.

The Hawks (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Belmont (Belmont, MS). The Cardinals go into the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Belmont overcame Walnut (Walnut, MS), 40-12, in a non-league bout.
