The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals (Swiftwater, PA) and the visiting Scranton Knights (Scranton, PA), witnessed Pocono Mountain East's football squad wallop Scranton by a tally of 45-0.

The Cardinals (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Allentown Central Catholic (Allentown, PA). The Vikings go into the non-league bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Allentown Central Catholic was crushed by Freedom (Bethlehem, PA), 38-27, in a non-league bout.

The Knights now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host West Scranton for a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. Scranton will encounter a Invaders squad coming off a 40-0 non-league loss to Hazleton Area (Hazleton, PA). The Invaders record now stands at 1-2.
