In Thursday's non-league match, the host San Marin Mustangs football team scored a nice 21-8 win over the Miramonte Matadors.

In their next game, the Mustangs play the Rancho Cotate Cougars (Rohnert Park, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 18. San Marin will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record.

The Matadors (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Monte Vista (Danville, CA). The Mustangs go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Monte Vista was dropped by Acalanes (Lafayette, CA), 20-6, in a non-league challenge.
