The CORE Butte Lynx (Chico, CA) volleyball held off the visiting Oroville Tigers (Oroville, CA), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Lynx now possess a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Maxwell for a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 9. CORE Butte will battle a Panthers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-4.

Next, the Tigers battle the Red Bluff Spartans (Red Bluff, CA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 9. Oroville will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Spartans go into the battle with a 1-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to East Nicolaus (Nicolaus, CA).
