North Carolina High School Volleyball - Riverside-Durham can't get by Sanderson
September 4, 2025: Raleigh, NC 27609 Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Riverside-Durham Pirates (Durham, NC), 1-0 in a non-league outing.
The Spartans now have a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Athens Drive for a non-league outing on Monday, September 8. Sanderson will play a Jaguars team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Rolesville (Rolesville, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-6.
With the loss, Riverside-Durham drops to 5-1 on the campaign. The Pirates host Hillside (Durham, NC) to confront the Hornets in a non-league game on Thursday, September 11. The Hornets go into the game with a record of 0-1.
