The Adairsville Tigers edged the visiting Mt. Zion Eagles softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Tigers now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wheeler for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 6. Adairsville will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 19-0 league loss to North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-12.

With the loss, Mt. Zion moves to 7-5 on the season. The Eagles host Armuchee (Rome, GA) to meet the Indians in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 8. The Indians go into the challenge with a record of 6-6.
