September 4, 2025: Wellsville, MO 63384 In Thursday's league test, the Clopton Hawks (Clarksville, MO) softball squad overwhelmed the host Wellsville-Middletown Tigers (Wellsville, MO), by a score of 17-0.
With the triumph, Clopton improves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Hawks host South Shelby (Shelbina, MO) to face the Cardinals in a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 9. The Cardinals enter the contest with a record of 0-2. South Shelby lost 4-3 in their recent non-league contest against Schuyler County (Lancaster, MO)
The Tigers now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Paris for a non-league bout on Monday, September 8. Wellsville-Middletown will clash with a Coyotes team coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Northeast (Cairo, MO). The Coyotes record now stands at 3-0.
