Virginia High School Volleyball - Charlottesville overwhelmed by Amherst County
September 4, 2025: Charlottesville, VA 22901 The Amherst County Lancers topped the host Charlottesville Black Knights volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Thursday's non-league game.
Next up, the Lancers confront the Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, September 9. Amherst County will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Phoenix come into the outing with a 1-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA).
With the loss, Charlottesville drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Black knights travel to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA) to play the Flying Flucos in a Jefferson outing on Tuesday, September 9. The Flying Flucos come into the outing with a record of 6-0. Fluvanna County won 3-0 in their recent non-league game against Godwin (Richmond, VA)
