In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Holmes Aces volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the John Paul II Catholic Saints.

The Aces (10-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Camden County (Camden, NC). The Bruins come into the Albermarle 2A challenge with a 9-0 record. In their last challenge, Camden County beat Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC), 3-0, in a non-league test.
