Delaware High School Volleyball - Indian River overwhelmed by Smyrna
September 4, 2025: Smyrna, DE 19977 Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team run past the visiting Indian River Indians (Dagsboro, DE), 3-0 in a non-league outing.
The Eagles now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Caravel Academy for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 9. Smyrna will play a Buccaneers team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over MOT Charter (Middletown, DE). The Buccaneers record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Indian River drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Worcester Prep (Berlin, MD) to play the Mallards in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 9. The Mallards go into the game with a record of 0-2. Worcester Prep lost 3-0 in their recent non-league game against Delmar (Delmar, DE)
