With the win, Mountainside improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Westview (Portland, OR) to encounter the Wildcats in a 6A Metro battle on Tuesday, September 9. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 2-4. Westview lost 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Sheldon (Eugene, OR)
