September 4, 2025: Cartersville, GA 30120 Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Villa Rica Wildcats (Villa Rica, GA) and the host Woodland Wildcats (Cartersville, GA), observed Villa Rica's volleyball team notch a victory over Woodland by a score of 2-0.
With the win, Villa Rica improves its record to 13-2 on the season. The Wildcats host Kennesaw Mountain (Kennesaw, GA) to face the Mustangs in a 5A Area 5 test on Tuesday, September 9. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 5-18. Kennesaw Mountain lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Harrison (Kennesaw, GA)
The Wildcats now own a 6-16 record. They play next when they travel to Cass for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 6. Woodland will meet a Colonels team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Cartersville (Cartersville, GA). The Colonels record now stands at 2-14.
